They are available when we are closed and we trust them for quality care! In the event you have to visit the emergency clinic we can get the records so we can follow up if your pet needs further care.

Urgent Care Visits During Business Hours
The Animal Hospital of Northwood knows that sometimes pet emergencies are unpredictable and can occur when you least expect it. That’s why our veterinarians and staff are proud to deliver our urgent care services to your pet when they need it most. If your pet has a health condition that requires immediate medical attention our urgent care veterinary services are available during our regular office hours. We will always do our very best to see sick or injured animals on the same day.
If it is a life-threatening emergency our veterinarians will perform a triage assessment. After your consent, your pet will be moved to our emergency treatment area for immediate assessment.
Your pet should be seen immediately if it has any of the following:
- Excessive bleeding
- Swelling
- Sudden eye issues
- Severe vomiting
- Severe Diarrhea
- Inability to urinate
- Ingestion of poisonous substances
- Difficulty standing
- Unable to walk
- Wounds or trauma
- Your pet appears to be in pain
- Your pet is lethargic or weak
